National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT)
The Indian Companies Act 1956 has been amended and necessary provisions have been incorporated to constitute the NCLT. However, the basic framework is not yet established and therefore, the NCLT is not yet functional. NCLT are being implemented to shift certain areas from High Court like Mergers, Amalgamations, Winding up of Companies, Reduction of Capital. Subsequently, the Company Law will be dissolved and all functions thereof will be transferred to NCLT.
